OUR "HEAD START" PROGRAM
Socialization Training
Our “Head Start” program is just that, for the first 12-months our puppies go through a socialization training "Boot Camp". While this is a great undertaking for us here at Reveillee Oaks our hope is for our puppies to go to their future approved homes with as much early on socialization training as possible. New future approved owners will have to commit to remain equally consistent with training.
Socialization training begins early here at Reveillee Oaks. We have a staff of professional trainers versed in positive reinforcement training, canine social structure & behavior. Our professionals work on a daily basis with all our puppies and our dogs.
While some bloodhounds are mentally more complex & challenging than others, patience is a virtue. As well, training consistency is a must when working with this breed of scent hound that grows very quickly, is extremely active and mentally chooses to please itself.
Our socialization training is done in combination and briefly includes: exposure to different breeds, people and surroundings, obedience and conformation training, along with monitored exercise and table training. All training is done with the understanding of the critical periods in a puppy’s psychological growth.
