Satan at the Dog Show
Satan entered a large building
where a dog show was being held.
Everyone, upon seeing Satan,
ran from the building screaming.
The only person left inside was
an old man sitting by the obedience ring.
Satan spoke to the old man,
"Do you know who I am?"
"Sure do", said the old man.
Hearing there was no fear in the old mans voice,
Satan asked, "Do you know I could destroy you with a single word?"
"Possibly", stated the old man.
Becoming perturbed at the total lack of terror, Satan roared,
" I COULD BANISH YOU TO HELL FOR ETERNITY, WHY DO YOU NOT FEAR ME ?! "
Unshaken, the old man replied, "I’ve shown dogs for forty years. I’ve earned obedience titles
on no less a dozen dogs and I’m pretty sure that at least three of them were your children."

A Major concern Of Reveillee Oaks
Young Bloodhound puppies possess to an extreme degree a quality that we call the "Cute Appearance". The Cute Appearance is clearly present in puppies from 8 weeks to around 5 months of age and diminishes as the puppies grow. This breed of scent hound grows very quickly, is extremely active and mentally chooses to please itself.
When the "Cute Appearance" disappears many new owners are faced with a young adolescent Bloodhound that is destructive and unmanageable. The challenge of dealing with the dog becomes too great. The result is that the Bloodhound is banished to the back yard, chained to a tree, or caged – leaving the young dog without the mental stimulation and training it needs to become a mentally sound adult.
Reveillee Oaks has been active in the rescue of this breed since 1978. Southeast Bloodhound Rescue is overwhelmed with the numbers of Bloodhounds in need of rescue. These unwanted Bloodhounds are coming from owners that feel they can no longer deal with the challenge that a young Bloodhound can present.
Extremely young Bloodhound puppies are not available from Reveillee Oaks and will only be pictured for educational purposes on this web-site because of this concern.
